CANCELLED – Outside of the Box Ultreya – Please Read Details

Death is never convenient for anyone, much less the family who has just lost a loved one.  It is for this reason we have made the decision to cancel our plans for our May Ultreya/Bunco Party at Arlington Congregational Church on Saturday, May 19th.  One of the long-standing families of Arlington suddenly lost a son on Tuesday, May 8th and it is their wish to honor him and celebrate his life on May 19th.  Given the circumstances, I feel cancelling our Via de Cristo gathering is the right thing to do out of respect for this young man and his grieving family.  This also gives me and other Arlington rollistas the opportunity to pay our respects and not have to be rushed with other obligations if we tried to move our event to another church.  I hope you will join me in keeping the family and Arlington Congregational Church in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with this loss and seek to find peace and comfort.  Thank you for your compassion and understanding in this matter.
As an alternative to the cancelled Bunco Party, Highpoint Community Church is sponsoring an Emmaus gathering on May 19th with a potluck at 6:00 pm followed by a worship service.  Highpoint is located at 84 Knight Boxx Road in Orange Park, FL.  I’m sure our Emmaus friends would welcome any of us who would like to join them to please do so.
